"How I Have Longed"

"O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing.

Having a choice is wonderful. It can also be gut wrenching as you watch someone resist what God wants to do for them. We all get to make our own choices. Choose wisely, with God's word in mind. As I write this I have no one specific in mind, just thinking about how Jesus really wanted them to choose a different path. He wanted to protect them, but they were unwilling. One time as I was leaving Mexico City I wondered what Jesus was thinking about that city. I often wonder what He thinks of my current city. I am to be Jesus to the people around me. I long to be like Him, to think the thoughts of God and carry out His mission.

Just a couple more questions......who cries over your city, who longs for it?
