Honoring Marriage

Marriage should be honored by all
Heb 13:4 (NIV)

Among the "Oh yes, don't forget this" of Hebrews 13 is this little gem. Honor marriage. I think it appropriate to honor marriage in our world today. I'm thankful to my father and mother for giving me an example of staying married even though many of the marriages of their peers lay in ruin. The commitment, the work, the devotion, the example, the love needs to be honored by those who notice.

To those of you who are married that are reading this......

• recommit to your spouse today.........marriage takes strong commitment
• work on making your marriage affair proof..........even though you say you love each other.....you must guard and manage that decision every day
• devote your all to your spouse, hold nothing back
• be an example for us all
• learn to love even deeper

I've been married 20 years and I'm starting to get it.
